Vinmonopolet releases a list twice a year with tenders. They search for wines from specific areas with specified criteria, and all who produce this certain type of wine are welcome to submit their products to Vinmonopolet through their importer. For the second half of 2020 they are looking for 7 different wines from Germany.

News from Vinmonopolet
Vinmonopolet has the ambition to become one of Norway's best companies on sustainability. People's increasing environmental awareness creates expectations for there work and they have a responsibility to offer products that enable consumers to make sustainable choices. Social responsibility is also the basis when they request products that are certified Fairtrade or Fair for Life. At the same time, Vinmonopolet aim to reduce the environmental impact in the organization and in the supply chain.
Vinmonopolet has already announced that all tenders below NOK 150 must be delivered on light weight. In this plan, they dedicate a number of launches to environmentally-friendly packaging and demand new packaging types, such as aluminum bottles in the specifications. There are also various types of environmentally-friendly packaging available on most tenders in this plan. Pant on aluminum and plastic will be important in the future. This will apply to most product types and will ensure that the packaging is recycled and does not end up in nature.

Pfalz Spätburgunder / Pinot Noir
Single grape variety, Spätburgunder / Pinot Noir. Organic wine, vintage 2019 on 225 cl BiB. Price up to 500 nok. Wine with aromatic quality and mouthfeel for basic assortment.

Ahr or Baden Spätburgunder / Pinot Noir 
Single grape variety, Spätburgunder / Pinot Noir. Spontaneously fermented. Vintage 2018 or more recent on 75cl glass bottle. Price up to 250 nok. Wine with complexity and concentation for the basic assortment, possible one-lot. 

September release, 

Mosel Riesling
Single grape variety, 100% Riesling. Min. 45 g/l sugar. Producer must be member of VDP. Vintage 2019 on 150 cl glass bottle. Price up to 275 nok. Wine with aromatic quality and consentration for basic assortment.

Franken Silvaner
Single grape variety Silvaner. VDP Grosses Gewächs from Bürgstadt: Centgrafenberg, from Escherndorf: Am Lumpen 1655, From Iphofen: Julyus-Echter-Berg or Kronsberg Kammer, from Stetten: Stein, from Thüngersheim: Rothlauf. Vintage 2019 on 75 cl glass bottle. Rheinhessen white wine
