Here are the tenders for the 1st half of 2015. The Monopoly searches for wines from specific areas with specified criteria, and all who produce this certain type of wine are welcome to submit their products to Vinmonopolet through their importer. For the first half of 2015 they are looking for seven wines from Germany. And we are happy to announce that among these seven are also a sparkling and a rosé. 

Release dates

The importers need to have the wines ready in Norway for delivery as close to the deadlines as possible. Contact your importer now to make appointments for delivery.
 

January release, Riesling Kabinett from the Mosel 

The wine should be from the Mosel, a kabinett, single variety Riesling from Wiltingen: Scharzhofberg or Kanzem: Altenberg or Saarburg: Rausch or Ockfen: Bockstein. Name of the vineyard must appear on the label. The spesifications given for the wine is that they seek a wine with concentration and mouthfeel, from the 2013 vintage in the price range below NOK 250,00. This is for a listing in the basic assortment.

March release, Riesling from Mosel and sparkling from Pfalz

The Riesling should be from the Mosel, a Prädikatswein or QbA, Ortswein or Erste Lage and be a single variety from Graach, Wiltingen, Pünderich or Wolf, with no botrytis. The wine is to have a maximum of 8 grams residual sugar per litre and be of vintage 2013 and should be complex with good concentration. This is for a listing in the basic assortment. The price level is below NOK 200,00.

The sparkling should be a single variety Riesling Sekt b.A., Winzersekt and come from Pfalz. Klassiche Flaschengärung, this should appear on the front or back label. Mininum of 12 months bottle ageing and maximum 8 grams of sugar per liter. The wine should be complex with good consentration. This is for a listing in the basic assortment and the price should not exceed NOK 200,00.

May release, Rieslingx2, Weissburgunder and Rosé

VDP Eerste Lage Riesling from Pfalz.
VDP Erste Lage from Forst, Wachenheim or Kallstad. A single variety Riesling from the vintage of 2013, with no trace of botrytis The wine should have complexity and This is for a listing in the basic assortment. The price level is below NOK 250,00.

Pfalz Prädikats or QbA Riesling.
Prädikatswein trocken or QBA trocken, Gutswein. Single variety Riesling and the grapes should come from (100%) either Laumersheim, Grossklarbach, Dirmstein, Zellertal or Bockenheim. A screwcap is required and the vintage should be from the vintage 2014. The release is for a listing in the basic assortment and should not exceed NOK 125,00.

Weissburgunder from Pfalz.
Prädikatswein or QBA, Ortswein. 100% Weissburgunder from Deidesheim, Friedelsheimer, Duttweiler or Heuchelheim. Minimum 3 months ageing on the lees, no trace of oak, screwcap is required. Maximum of 6 grams of sugar per liter, no trace of botrytis, vintage 2013. The wine should have complexity and concentration. The release is a for a listing in the basic assortment and the price should be maximum NOK 175,00.

Rosé Spätburgunder from Pfalz.
Single variety Spätburgunder/Pinot Noir rosé. Grapes should origin from Laumersheim, Kindenheim, Grünstadt or Obrigheim. Weissherbst should appear on the front or the back label. Light color, maximum of 9 grams of sugar per liter, screwcap is required, colorless bottle and vintage 2014. Price level of below NOK 150,00.
